The Company
Sunseeker Charters has its roots firmly planted in Sunseeker and all it stands for. This young charter company has grown out of a very personal passion for the internationally renowned British boatbuilder’s product. Working hand-in-hand with the global Sunseeker dealer network, Sunseeker Charters takes great pride in offering the largest range of Sunseeker motoryachts in locations around the world.
What’s more, offering only Sunseekers for charter, we are able to provide specialist and thorough knowledge of the vessels on our fleet. Often we are in communication with the vessel owners from the motoryacht’s inception, so we are able to provide advice on customisation specifically to suit the charter market. We are also on hand to provide guidance on crew recruitment as we fully appreciate the importance of the standard of personnel on board.
For the future we see Sunseeker Charters building upon its relationships with Sunseeker dealerships to further extend the diversity of destinations and range of Sunseeker models we can offer our clients.
Of course, it’s not just the relationships with the vessel owners and Sunseeker distributors that we value. As a client of Sunseeker Charters we aim to provide you with the very best service possible. Our remit is not simply to ‘sell a charter’; we are introducing you to Sunseeker – the product and the service for which we feel so passionate about. We will do everything we can to ensure that you have a truly unforgettable experience and, in doing so, we hope to begin what we hope will be a long and trusted relationship with you.
Sunseeker Charters’ main headquarters is in Poole, adjacent to the Sunseeker shipyard. Being so close to Sunseeker International has great advantages: we see visitors to the shipyard including dealers and captains overseeing the build of new vessels; and we are able to keep abreast of the latest Sunseeker developments.
At the end of 2008, Sunseeker Charters opened another office in conjunction with Sunseeker Superyacht Management in Golfe Juan, south of France. This office will not only be a hub for local charter enquiries, but it will also be a point of contact for French Riviera-based vessels.
Knowledge and Experience
Each member of the Sunseeker Charters team has background in and a passion for the Sunseeker product.
David Ward and Stefan Wertans, Directors of the company, have owned Sunseeker motoryachts for more than thirty years. During their Sunseeker ‘journey’ they have chartered their UK-based motoryachts for the last twenty years. Not only have they a superb knowledge of the Sunseeker product, but also have hands-on experience of the practicalities of boating and charter.
Office Manager and Senior Charter Consultant Katie Havicon-Mills has been employed as a permanent member of staff since 2005. Prior to being in the office full-time she worked as freelance crew for Sunseeker Charters in the UK and in the Mediterranean. As an RYA Yachtmaster, Powerboat Instructor, Dinghy Sailing Instructor and SRC Examiner Katie’s experience in the marine industry spans more than fifteen years.
Marie Fitch joined the Sunseeker Charters team as Charter Consultant in 2008. As a STCW 95-qualified crew Marie worked on charter vessels predominantly in the south of France before returning to the UK. Having gained experience as a stewardess on board Sunseekers and even larger superyachts, Marie is fully aware of the standard of service required on board charter vessels. She is also very familiar with the French Riviera having been based there for six years.
As the longest serving employee of Sunseeker Charters, Yolanda De La Mora-Robertson has a wealth of experience in organising charters around the world. Hailing from Mexico, Yolanda has particular expertise in relation to our fleet based on the Mexican Pacific Coast. Before becoming a charter consultant at Sunseeker Charters Yolanda worked for Sunseeker International where she gained a sound knowledge of the Sunseeker product and developed close ties with colleagues throughout the Sunseeker network.
